Everyone is subjected to stress in some way. However, as you might expect, not all methods for dealing with stress are made equal. What’s the good news? These techniques have been demonstrated to work.
Outside of your bedroom, limit your screen time to your phone and television. Immerse yourself in a calming hobby as sleep approaches. Reading or doing a crossword puzzle are two excellent examples. Consistency reigns supreme. Make a pre-bedtime ritual and stick to it.
Aim for 30 minutes of physical activity every day for adults. What does it mean to be physically active? It might be anything from a stroll around the neighborhood to a relaxing yoga session.
Food cravings are unavoidable, but “comfort foods” can make you feel even worse. Processed sugar-rich foods have a detrimental impact on sleep and mood. Consider food to be fuel, and select the optimum fuel for your body. Healthy snacks such as almonds and bananas should be readily available in your kitchen.
Make time to unwind every day. Try reading or shutting your eyes and imagining yourself in a pleasant environment. You may also utilize this time to take a break from looking through social media on your phone.

We offer fitness, racquet, pool, and corporate memberships. Discounted memberships are available to nonprofit partner organizations, Knights of Columbus members, and parishioners. Scholarships are available to assist those in need. Please contact our Operations Director for more details.
Cancellation requires a 30-Day written notice and can be started by filling out and submitting the Membership Cancellation Form. Your contract must have reached full-term in order to be eligible for cancellation.
